FALL 2018 - CHEFS IN THE CITY

Over the course of seven weeks, students will visit iconic neighborhoods of our beautiful city, San Francisco, and cook a traditional breakfast dish from the rich culinary heritage of each specific place. We will start with the Ohlone people and their preparations of native plants and end with a colorful celebration of our own Castro District.

Tuesdays - Grades 2-4*

Wednesdays - Grades 4-5*

Thursdays - Grades K-3*

*We may need to move students around after everyone has registered and thank you for any flexibility you can offer!

DATES

Space is limited, so we will offer the same curriculum twice in order to accommodate all interested families.

Session A: September 4-October 18

Session B: October 23-December 13 (no classes week of November 19)

LOCATION

Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy kitchen

All classes meet once a week from 8:00 a.m.-9:15 a.m. Due to our daily safety overview, students must arrive by 8:00 a.m. in order to participate in the day’s lesson.
