SFUSD Field Trips

Free SFUSD Cooking Class Field Trips

at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy

The Breakfast Project is a food education nonprofit that offers a 70-lesson TK-5th grade Edible Social Studies curriculum at Harvey Milk Civil Rights Academy. We are pleased to offer free field trips in our outdoor kitchen classroom for third grade students within San Francisco Unified School District.

During a 90-minute cooking class, students will learn about the history of the rainbow flag and make an edible rainbow pride parfait. This class is part of our 3rd grade unit, A History of San Francisco in 10 Meals. The field trips are typically offered in May, Harvey Milk’s birthday month!

Field trips for students in other grades or from schools outside of SFUSD can be customized and cost $10/student.

Schools are responsible for traveling to and from the Harvey Milk campus.
